“100 Years of the Turkish Republic: Social Change, Political Struggles and Hope”
Dieser Workshop wird im online-Format durchgeführt und ist für alle Angehörigen der DHGE an beiden Standorten gedacht. Dieser Workshop wird im Zeitraum 17.04 – 22.05.2023 immer Montag von 18.00-19.15 Uhr online stattfinden.
Geleitet wird der Workshop von Dr. Ceren Deniz, die am Max-Planck-Institut für ethnologische Forschung tätig war und seit vielen Jahren zur Türkei forscht. Sie werden mit Frau Dr. Deniz zusammen die folgenden Themen durchgehen, mit viel Zeit für Fragerunden und Diskussionen im Anschluss an ihre Präsentation.
This workshop is designed to overview the 100 years of the Turkish Republic on its anniversary and to assess and discuss its accomplishments and failures. Founded in 1923 from the ruins of a multi-ethnic and multi-religious Ottoman Empire, the new nation state was built upon the principles of secularism and Turkish nationalism. The country has witnessed immense political, economic, social and cultural change since its formation and experienced various phases of modernisation, democratisation, urban and rural development and also popular discontent from ethnic and religious minorities, workers, women and youth. This 5-week workshop offers a thematical overview and a critical assessment of the last century of Turkey.

Angeleitet wird der 2-tägige Workshop von der Schauspielerin Nadja Graselli.
Zum Inhalt des Kurses schreibt Frau Graselli:
In this training (short course) we work on strengthening your presence and confidence while talking in front of an audience and presenting your research. Furthermore, we will learn how to communicate in a clear and convincing manner, how to best reach your target group while making sure your message is well understood.
